Description
We present natural clary sage essential oil for cosmetics from Ukraine, which is obtained from the species with the botanical name Salvia sclarea. The liquid bears the name Clary Sage natural essential oil for cosmetics. The composition comprises substances solely of plant origin and remains free of preservatives and colourants. The purity of the composition results from the natural cultivation method, in which the Ukrainian plantations develop under the conditions of the temperate climate zone. The plantations provide the stalk of the plant, which serves for the extraction of the oil. The plant belongs to the Lamiaceae family, and the other members of the same botanical group also accumulate essential oil in their aboveground green organs. The species thrives in the temperate zone and reaches maturity as a biennial or perennial herbaceous plant. The stalk undergoes steam distillation, which separates its volatile substances. The volatile substances of the aboveground raw material pass into the liquid unchanged, which is why steam distillation determines the purity of the olfactory character of our finished product. The olfactory characteristic conveys freshness and warmth, and the light sweet tone reaches medium to strong expression. The stalk also determines the pale yellowish colour, as the green tissue releases faint pigments. The colour goes hand in hand with the liquid consistency of the product. The advantages of our oil stem from the Ukrainian origin, from the cultivation method and from the choice of the aboveground stalk as the sole raw material. In addition, the product reaches us in a single-component form that preserves the full profile of the species. The olfactory profile of the product is formed entirely by substances from the aboveground part. The Ukrainian origin remains the only source of raw material for our liquid.

Application
In cosmetics, natural clary sage essential oil is used to regulate sebum in oily and combination skin and to create serums with a balancing and soothing action. It is included in face creams for hormonally induced acne and in products for treating sensitive skin prone to inflammation and redness. The oil is included in toners with a firming effect for skin with an uneven complexion, in products with an antioxidant focus and in face masks with a firming and purifying effect. It is used to enrich body lotions and cleansing gels with a hormonally adaptive function, as well as in creams with a regenerating and stabilising action. It is suitable for day and night formulas with a natural herbal base, for face sprays with balancing energy and for neck and décolleté creams with a smoothing effect. The oil supports the balance of the skin during female hormonal changes and in areas of increased sensitivity, and in fluids it is combined with lavender and tea tree for problem skin, forming balancing lines with a feminine focus.

Storage

Store natural clary sage essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +5°C to +20°C to prevent oxidation and loss of beneficial properties. After opening, limit the amount of air in the packaging, and as the contents decrease, transfer the remainder into a smaller, clean and dry bottle. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for cosmetic products, preferably made of dark glass, which protect the essential oil for cosmetics from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and moisture from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the aroma and quality of the product for a longer period.
